There are 7 roles for a participant on a team: Player, Captain, Coach, Assistant Coach, Admin, Chaperone, and Staff.
Four of these roles are considered "Team Admin" roles: Captain, Coach, Assistant Coach and Admin. These are people that can edit the team and edit the team's registrations.
Player Roles:
Two of these roles are considered "playing members" and are counted in the roster count: Player and Captain. People with other roles on the team are not counted against the roster limits.
Coach Roles:
Two of these roles are considered "coaches" and are labeled as such on the team roster list: Coach and Assistant Coach. These people are not counted against the roster limits.
No Special Permissions:
These roles have no special permissions on the website: Chaperone and Staff.
Multiple Role Support
Each participant may be assigned only one, or multiple roles. To assign multiple roles, click the plus icon next to the participant's name:
Note that the existence of multiple roles may affect price points.
A price point applying to a set of roles will only apply if all player roles are in that set.
For example, if a price point is set up to apply to non-players only, it will not apply to any participants with a playing role (Player or Captain).
A price point applying to a single role applies if it matches any player role:
For example, if a price point is set up to apply to captains only, it will apply to any participant with a role of "Captain" selected, regardless of if that participant has any other role defined.
